Processes 1-6 Respawning Too Fast

Hello again,

Thanks for the great advice on how to get my Debian SPARC system up and
running -- I ended up setting up TFTP and starting the install that way.
But now that Debian's installed on the SPARCstation2 (and working well,
I might add), I've got one minor problem that doesn't seem to affect
anything but worries me a bit.

About every seven minutes, the following shows up in /var/log/syslog:

Nov 18 15:55:06 starwalker init: Id "2" respawning too fast: disabled
for 5 minutes
Nov 18 15:55:07 starwalker init: Id "1" respawning too fast: disabled
for 5 minutes
Nov 18 15:55:07 starwalker init: Id "3" respawning too fast: disabled
for 5 minutes
Nov 18 15:55:08 starwalker init: Id "5" respawning too fast: disabled
for 5 minutes
Nov 18 15:55:09 starwalker init: Id "6" respawning too fast: disabled
for 5 minutes
Nov 18 15:55:09 starwalker init: Id "4" respawning too fast: disabled
for 5 minutes

Does anyone know what might be causing this, or how I can try and
determine which process is respawning too quickly?
