Why do you really want to mirror swap?
it should be possible. set up the md device, mkswap /dev/md?
and off you go
the linux swap algorithms actually deal with multiple swap devices pretty
intelligently. IIRC they do something like striping across multiple swap
partitions. all you have to do is tell /etc/fstab that you have multiple swap
devices/partitions and it goes off and does magic for you
