The user that runs the Xserver needs read and write permissions
on /dev/kbd, /dev/mouse and /dev/fb0 (and /dev/fb[123] for multihead
machines). I thought that the X-server wrapper (which runs the X-server
as root) would have fixed that, but apparently not.
