Hmm, maybe I should automate this reply...
There is an experimental xserver-xsun package at
ftp.netg.se:/pub/Linux/sparc/X that you can try. It doesn't support
gzip:ed fonts, so you need to run xfs and pass it a font path on
startup (-fp tcp/<host_with_xfs>:7100). Check the list archives for
more details.
