I'd think the bug is in glibc, since I had no trouble to compile sp
with egcs (the only difference would be that I have rebuilt glibc from
the (debianised) sources). There seems to be some trouble with
nsgmls/libstdc++2.8 though, as it dies with a bus error in
IO_file_write().
Speaking of glibc, I'm considering putting a box to work on compiling
the latest snapshot. Wish me luck :)
