syslogd and libc6

I'm having problems with syslogd and the new libc6:

root@jason:/var/log# syslogd
syslogd: Symbol `_IO_2_1_stderr_' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking
syslogd: Symbol `_sys_errlist' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking
syslogd: Symbol `_IO_2_1_stdout_' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

libc6 version: 2.0.91-980111-3
sysklogd version: 1.3-21

It worked fine prior to the upgrade of libc. Anyone else experiencing this one?
