glibc&socket

I'm compiling some programs for sparc but i've encountered big problems
with sockets. at first sight i thought problem were causes by unpatched
programs, but then i wrote a simply program that try to open a tcp connection
to an host (and also to 127.0.0.1) but the answer is always:
Bad address. so i think they are inside glibc. Anyone had trouble with this?

Why should i be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've got to go sometimes (Pink Floyd)
