Sorry for ignoring so many emails on this subject .. I'm going to
attack it seriously over the next few days.

I've now got a nice fast computer, so I now have the luxury of cycles
to burn. :-)

There was a mailing list set up for the purpose of discussing nightly
gnome .debs (and other snapshot packages as well).

The list is at:

  debian-snapshots@lists.debian.org

(I'll cc: this to that list, so it'll have some traffic ;-)

Here was the announcement, which I'm sure everybody missed:

 http://www.debian.org/Lists-Archives/debian-devel-9810/msg00453.html

(I'll attach it at the end)

Cheers,

 - Jim

Hi,

a new mailing list, debian-snapshots@lists.debian.org, has been
created by request of Jim Pick.

The purpose of this list is to discuss various topics about
automatic building of binary packages out of upstream CVS
repositories. A tool is planned that will handle this sort of
  package building.

Currently many parts of Gnome and egcs are developed through
  publically available CVS repositories.

Subscription / Unsubscription

*NO* subscription or unsubscription messages should be sent to the
lists address, but to a special control address which is
slightly different from the lists address. To subscribe or
unsubscribe to such a list, please send mail to

        debian-snapshots-REQUEST@lists.debian.org

with the word `subscribe' or `unsubscribe' as subject.

Please remember the -REQUEST inside of the name.

If you need to contact a human listmaster, direct your mail to
  listmaster@debian.org or listmaster@va.debian.org . These are two
different machines in case one is offline.

Regards,

        Joey
