Using PinYin in Xcin

I just started to use Xcin. The input method I am using is PinYin, and I
am using the Slink version Xcin.
One problem I am having is when I want to input a "flat tone" word, but
there are more than one word pronouncing the same, if I select 2/3/4,
Xcin thinks I want the "2/3/4 tone" words and brings up a new list for
me.
Have anyone had the same problem or I did something wrong?
