: (~) dpkg -l|grep xlib
: ii xlib6 3.3.2.3a-11 shared libraries required by libc5 X clients
: ii xlib6g 3.3.5-2 shared libraries required by X clients

: But when I set LANG=zh_CN.GB2312 in ~/.bash_profile
: then startx (really its startscwm, but it's the same...)
: I got a message telling me Xlib doesn't support that
: and my XEmacs says .."Chinese undefined..." (I don't
: remember clearly... sorry. ;)

oh.. it worked for me in the past, but GB2312 doesn't work in X when I
tested it a few minutes ago...

: Should I upgrade Xlib? Or something wrong on my side?
: P.s. Can I report bug without a web browser? say, thru
: email? ;)

The standard way to do bug report is by using the package 'bug', or
another newer one called 'reportbug'.
