Mostly, the lastest 1.4devel is older than the bugfix round which led to
1.3.2, and AFAIK even the cvs trunk, which could lead to a new 1.4devel
release, does not have all the features that got integrated in the 1.3
branch.  So I'd tend to see 1.4devel as currently "unmaintained upstream".

Until 1.3.1, there used to be argument that 1.4devel used the opensp with
the performance bug, but since 1.3.2 uses it as well, this argument cannot
be used any more :>
