We generally suggest debian-mentors for newcomers interested in
helping out with Debian, although this list is fine too.

Which web technologies are you proficient in? Debian services use a
lot of Python, some Perl or PHP and fewer use other languages.

In addition to the wishlist, a lot of the existing services could use
some helpers. One of the highest impact ones is the Debian Package
Tracker, since package maintainers look at it before uploads.

Personally I would suggest helping with the tracker, the Debian
packages website or some of the QA services:

https://packages.debian.org/
https://wiki.debian.org/qa.debian.org

The service I started could also use some help but it isn't really a
web service.

This project is complementary to the Debian sources website, Debian
codesearch and kind of an extension of the binarycontrol website.

If you do decide to create a new service it might be worth starting a
discussion and or survey about which Debian services are most wanted
by the contributor community, probably on the debian-devel mailing
list.

The #debian-mentors IRC channel is probably a good place to chat about this.
