In seek of a services CA

Hello,
for those who don't know, I'm running mentors.debian.net along with
Asheesh to help sponsored maintainers to bring their packages into Debian.

Since we deal with personalized data and passwords it would make sense
to support HTTP encryption. However every approach in that direction I
tried in the past, failed to find a suitable CA which would sign our
certificate.

Hence, I'm using this shiny new list to learn about possibilities we
could use.

* A self-signed certificate. Well, it is what it is.

* ca.debian.org: Who is administering this CA? What are requirements and
possibilities to get a signed certificate here?

* cacert.org: Apparently someone registered mentors.d.n already in the
past (perhaps Christoph), so I can't anymore (or don't know how to).

* commercial authorities, ranging from low-priced domain validation to
racketeering. Probably no alternative either, though I could ask my
company who already sponsors server and bandwidth to provide us a SSL
certificate.

Is there any other CA in the context of Debian related services
available which I could use?

with kind regards,
Arno Töll
