Yes, upstream helpfully changed the on disk format of the database
files with this release.  The solution is to rm the old
{main,daily}.{inc/,cvd} databases, and let freshclam redownload them.
This will, of course, helpfully break any other applications that use
those files, like dansguardian, which is why it's not being done
automatically.  I am tryiong to give people a moment to reassess and
maybe move where freshclam and clamd look for databases if they need to,
since there are no fixed dansgardian or other packages for stable yet.

Good luck, and please feel free to tell upstream this was an unhelpful
change.
