The newer versions of SSH(d) are very strict about
the file permisions on the .ssh directory & the publick key pair


I think they should be .... 
drwx------   3 root     root       for the  .ssh directory
and
- -r--------   1 root     root         for the id_dsa file
- -r--------   1 root     root         for the id_dsa.pub file

You will need to check the perms at both ends of the link

you can also try running the daemon in foregound mode with the debugging 
turned up.
