RE: Peace is not off topic

First of all, I deeply apologize for posting the following rant on this
list. But I *must* say it.

Does anyone know where this kind of discussion could be followed on?

You are really not listening at all.

There's people willing to *kill themselves* just to cause you harm. How
did it come to that? Are they all "evil and crazy?" All of them? Come
on, this is the real world, not a freaking Rambo movie. People will do
unspeakable things, yes, but not until they are very thoroughly pissed
off.

But never mind that. Think: what if this madness goes on, and you
corner Saddam, and he launches a biological or nuclear attack on you?
Thousands of innocent US citizens will have to die then. Is your "way
of life" worth genocide? Is that a smart way of preserving your
"national security", inciting biological and nuclear retaliation?

A rather odd security policy, that is.

As for me, I find all that terribly sad, but I'm somewhat more worried
about *my* ass. Actually, I'm starting to be scared. If something like
that happens, we, the suckers unlucky enough to live in your damn
backyard, peacefully, minding our own business, are going to get as
screwed as you, probably even more for lack of defense tech. All
because of *your* way of life and *your* national security. Well
thank-you very much.

Look, if it ever comes to that, if I see the lives of my own people in
danger because of some stupid cock length contest of your dear
president, I know I'd be very pissed off at Saddam but, trust me on this
one, almost certainly much more at Bush. Now, pissed off enough? I
don't know. I guess it all depends on how much we'd be forced to take.

Well, I guess I am betraying you too, quite openly at that. What now?
Am I evil and insane, too? Would you like to "enforce" your laws on me
and my family?

You better make sure I don't survive the "enforcing".
