Actually a better analogy would be turning people away at the border.
In the USA we have the INS who manage who enters and leaves the country.
When aliens cross into the country illegally you could compare that to an
intrusion. Ports, be them digital or real share the same security protocols
when you think about it. It isn't worth going after those you "turn away."
