The latest Jessie 8.9( Linux Michael-Linux 3.16.0-5-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.51-3+deb8u1 (2018-01-08) x86_64 GNU/Linux) update tonight 9/1/2018 caused my USB WiFi to cease operation necessitating re-install of drivers. The dongle is using an RTL8192EU chip. My USB scanner was not affected.
