Re: Point release notifications

Hi,

Today pyprsc2 grew notifications, which means when a fix is uploaded to stable/oldstable a notification could be sent indicating that the security tracker needs updating. This means that somebody doesn't have to keep an eye on stable and also that contributors (rather than sec-team or I) could
be nudged to do the updates. All the information required is in the
notification text, except the CVE identifier - but that is easily found
from the bug number.

I'm enabling notifications to this list, as it (currently) seems the best
place for them to go. There are a couple of examples on the way to see
the format. Please feel free to update the tracker as notifications arrive
in future.

This is only relevant for no-dsa entries; problems fixed via DSAs will
continue to synchronise automatically.

For questions, comments, objections: please mail me directly and CC
security@debian.org.

Thanks,
