I did start looking at this last weekend, but hadn't completely assured
myself about its internal lifecycle management before deciding how it
should best be supervised and then I had doubts about bundling service
integration at all.

The inetsim package does not provide services that a real production or
end user host would need. I suspect anyone wanting to use this would
orchestrate it in some application-specific test harness, perhaps on a
VM or in a network namespace.

One approach might be to remove the service integration and suggest
users run it explicitly. We could come back at a later time with a
well thought-out recipe.

But it has a higher popcon than I would expect so perhaps the service
integration is useful to people after all.

Just my musings.
