Hi, I'd like to join the team and help on updating binwalk: switch to new alive upstream, remove dependency on RC-buggy python3-nose... I use it at work. I'll also process my other own bug request & more generaly the python3.12/3.13 induced bugs. #1059889 [n| | ] [src:dfvfs] dfvfs: please package new version 20231208 #1061073 [n| |♔] [src:dfwinreg] dfwinreg: please package version20221218 #1061286 [n| | ] [src:wapiti] wapiti: please remove dep on python3-six Lastly, the "cruft-ng" package _could_ be considered as a forensics tool. I use it that way: I get Debian Wheezy/Buster filesystems snapshots and I need to document what was manually tweaked/added to the base clean system. Of course it's result can only be trusted if nobody altered /var/lib/dpkg/info/* so it's not effective against rootkit... only against lazy people who directly modify the one golden image without any script to reproduce it; and without remembering what they did. So in short I propose to move this package to team maintenance. This is a Debian-specific native package, but rulesets for Debian-derivatives are welcome.
