Just before leaving, I yesterday had a build success with 21.0.0
https://salsa.debian.org/science-team/arrow/-/pipelines/912266
which is still running.

Yes, please have a look. I suggest we start with a very core of the
software (C++ and Python) and then see who wants to join with additional
languages.
