Thanks a lot for your answers and for the code.
I understand why using runpath in the general case is a bad idea and
that it is actually not needed for openmpi, so this bug should be fixed
in openmpi.
Yet, I wonder whether having runpath set by openmpi is bad enough that,
in the meantime, we have to play such trick in every package that builds
against it?
After all, the binaries that are built against openmpi and distributed
by Debian should use the specific openmpi libraries that are pointed to
by this runpath. I don't see a real-life problem that having runpath set
in this specific case could cause.
