Hi Joenio,
I like your idea of citing Debian in an academic
work.
Both can aspire to the ideal of shared knowledge.
Plus, a citation might raise awareness.
I quickly searched for
how to properly cite Debian in an academic work?
but didn't see any obvious answer.
I humbly suggest simply citing Debian with
something like its name and a link to
https://www.debian.org/.
Maybe like...
[1] Debian Operating System
https://www.debian.org/
Thanks for your clever idea.
Kind regards,
Kingsley

Hello Debian Science folks,
Do we have any documentation with recommendation on how to

By citing Debian I mean a citation to the Debian project
as a whole rather then citing a specific package inside Debian.
When I search on Google Scholar for the string below.
"Debian Operating System"
I can find some results, such as [1] and [2], that could be
used to cite "Debian - The Operating System" but I'm not sure
it would be the best approach.
Do you have any recommendation or references where can I find
more info about this topic?
