Hello,
This is a call for Debian mentorship.
My background is in science and engineering, as well as in
scientific computing. I'm especially active in scientific
programming, contributing to a large number of projects on
gitlab/github/salsa (I already have a farhi-guest account in the
latter).
I've been using Debian-class systems for about 25 years, and I
now know quite a bit in Debian source packaging e.g. using
devscripts tools.
As part of my current activity (X-ray synchrotron), I've
contributed into a large ITP/NEW/unstable/testing initiative for
new scientific software (mostly in Debian Science), and I'm part
of the Debian Photon-and-Neutron team/pure blend (debian-pan).
Up to now we have pushed ~300 new such packages (for X-ray and
photon science), as well as many related lower level libraries.
As of today, I rely on a DD in my team, and a set of DD
subcontractors for the Debian package uploads.
I think it's time for me to reach a new level of contribution.
I'm eager to contribute directly into Debian and its scientific
software stack.
My New Member page is:

I'd like to join the team of Debian Developpers in order to
officially push packages, and I'm looking for Mentors to endorse
me.
Would you be so kind to consider my application (and
endorse/sign my PGP) ?
Thanks, Emmanuel.
