I've taken the liberty to merge my merge requests.

Joblib version 1.1.0 is now on salsa [1] ready for review and upload if some with upload rights is available to do so.

I have taken the liberty to open some merge requests in order to update to the last version 1.1.0 [1]. Patches also needed a bit of cleaning.
