Moin,

I can confirm that I can run my simulations using the geant4 and
geant4-data packages, very nice, Stephan!

I tried fiddling with the Python interface as well, but I have not used
that in a long time, and even then I used the g4py extension. I see if I
can write a small test script to test that as well.

I hope that upstream (i.e. Cern folks) will someday also set up a gitlab
repo for the data files, that will make packaging much easier than
"manually" downloading the data files for each release.
