Hi All,

I am new to debian packaging but have tried to follow the guides for new maintainers in setting up the sources so that it can be converted into a debian package by simply running a script. Also i've taken care to make lintian at least scan the package without complaining. It might be the case that I missed something

@Michael: I will also take a look at the PR some more, we can probably use some parts to make upstream better suited for debian.

just FYI there is/was a PR on JASP's GitHub with a semi complete packaging. It had quite a few TODOs, but they should be detailed in the PR. Maybe that is a useful starting point.
