Fwd: Bug#850590: ITP: openmeca -- a graphical application to model and simulate mechanical systems
Hello all,
I would like to submit the openmeca (see
https://gitlab.com/damien.andre/openmeca) software
to debian-science. I open an ITP (see
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=850590).
Andreas Tille tell me to put the package into the git repository of
debian science.
So, following the debian-science policy, I create a git repository
named "openmeca.git" in
"/git/debian-science/packages" and I push a first version of a
debianized version of openmeca.
I try to follow the debian policy about packaging but I am not sure
that the package is right.
Indeed, the "gbp buildpackage" command seems to be OK.
If I correctly understand the debian policy, the package should be
checked by experienced
debian developer or mentors... Any volunteer ? :)
Any help will be really appreciated,
many thanks, Damien.

Good ! It's a great news ! :)
:-)
You will find at http://yakuru.fr/~dada/omc-deb/ a first version of
the
debian package of openmeca.
(Note that I build this package on Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS without gpg
signature)
This is the first time for me, please tell me what's wrong.
I need to admit that I have no time for this specific package - at
least
not in this state of maintenance. Becoming a member of Debian Science
team and using the Debian Science Git repository is my minimum
requirement
to have a look at a package. The Debian Science policy
http://debian-science.alioth.debian.org/debian-science-policy.html
should help you to learn what's needed to become a member and how to
create a Git repository. Once you have done this please post this to
the Debian Science list (in CC) and than we move on. :-)
Thank you very much, Damien.
You are welcome
Andreas.
