Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear Mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for the following source package:

* Package name    : arrayfire
  Version         : 3.0~beta
  Upstream Author : ArrayFire Development Group <technical@arrayfire.com>
* URL             : http://arrayfire.com/
* License         : BSD-3-Clause
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description     : High performance library for parallel computing

It builds the following binary packages:
 libarrayfire-cpu3 -- Shared library (CPU backend)
 libarrayfire-cpu3-dbg -- Debug symbols for CPU backend shlib
 libarrayfire-cpu-dev -- Development files for CPU backend shlib
 libarrayfire-doc -- Doxygen documentation

Comments:
 * The OpenCL backend requires dependencies which are not yet available in
 Debian, namely the clBLAS and clFFT libraries. Packaging work is in progress
 for both and I intend to update the package with this backend later, once
 these dependencies are uploaded.
 * The test suite is voluntarily disabled for now, because upstream strictly
 requires the download of both gtest and additional assets via submodules. I
 intend to discuss this issue with upstream and aim at having some sort of
 offline test suite available in a future update.

This source package is maintained by the Debian Science Team and can be
checked out at:
 https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/debian-science/packages/arrayfire.git

The binary packages can be built with the following command:
 gbp buildpackage --git-upstream-tag=upstream/3.0_beta \
        --git-upstream-branch=master \
        --git-debian-branch=debian/experimental \
        --git-no-pristine-tar

I intend to seek sponsorship through the Sponsoring of Blends initiative.

Best regards,
Ghislain
