Dear science team: During the last month, as part of my work for the OSRF[1], I've been working with Thomas Moulard (thanks!) in bringing some of our usual robotics software packages into a good shape for being included into debian. I believe that now they are in a good shape to start the process. These first four packages are used as dependencies for many others (like the gazebo simulator) so they seem like a good starting point to me: * console-bridge ---------------- Original Debianization: Thomas Moulard http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=debian-science/packages/console-bridge.git * urdfdom && urdfdom-headers ---------------------------- Original Debianization: Thomas Moulard http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=debian-science/packages/urdfdom.git http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=debian-science/packages/urdfdom-headers.git * sdformat ---------- http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=debian-science/packages/sdformat.git I would like to include them into the Robotics Blend if possible (thanks Andreas for letting me know about the project). They are into the debian-science git repository, no lintian warnings in my debian sid, latest versions, .symbols files ready, we have direct contact with urdfdom/console-bridge upstream and the OSRF is upstream for sdformat. If someone could help us with the review/upload that would be great. Thanks a lot, Regards - Jose. P.D: A part from Thomas, I've also contacted with Leo Palomo-Avellaneda who is part the robotics tasks of debian-science blend and is happy to help with the review or fixes, time permitting.
