Dear Andreas,

I've looked through the policy link you pointed me to. If I've
understood it correctly, the things that should change in the package
are the following:

  (1) Maintainer should be changed to
      'debian-science-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org'

  (2) Priority should be changed to 'extra'

  (3) DM-Upload-Allowed should be set to 'Yes' (although I'm not a
DM, so this wouldn't help me much!)

  (4) I should add myself to the uploaders field.

(Well, assuming the rest of the packaging is ok, that is!) Have I missed
anything?

I've also spent some time reading recent discussions on this list to try
to get a feel for what's going on. I'm also subscribed (or at least
reading it through gmane). I found the recent RFS regarding
python-pywcs[1] and tried to understand what I'm supposed to do re
alioth.

Since, up to now, my only contact with debian has been user and
occaisonal bug filer/closer, I'm not sure whether I qualify for an
alioth account. If I do, I'll happily sign up for one etc.

What should I be doing now? I presume that (for me) debian-science is
sort of complementary to the Debian mentors process?

Rupert
