Indeed, however:

  Current Status

The actual implementation of Kerrighed is based on Linux 2.4.29
kernel. A port to kernel 2.6.11 is ongoing. Kerrighed
functionalities have been added to the Linux kernel through modules
  and some minor kernel modifications.

So, similar boat as openmosix for working with 2.6.

Googling turned up this:

http://www.irisa.fr/paris/Biblio/Papers/Lottiaux/LotBoiGalValMor05CCGrid.pdf

Which lead to a 3rd option:

http://openssi.org/

It would be nice to hear of any experience with these.
