Hi all! I am not subscribed to this list, so, please, Cc: me on replies. Thanks. I filed a RFP wishlist bug about a very interesting scientific/technical data visualizer called VisIt (see bug #395573 [1]). While checking the license on debian-legal, I received a reply by Tim Post[2] who expressed some packaging concerns that I don't fully understand. Is anyone here experienced in packaging software with a similar parallel-engine/frontend architecture? How should the binary packages be organized, in your opinion? BTW, anyone interested in packaging VisIt? ;-) [1] http://bugs.debian.org/395573 [2] http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2006/10/msg00210.html -- But it is also tradition that times *must* and always do change, my friend. -- from _Coming to America_ .....................................................
