Fons changed it a couple of hours ago, after Brett was kind enough to
poit out the inconsistency. 

Just so you know, the ROOT Debian packages at 

	deb http://mirror.phy.bnl.gov/debian-root root unstable 

are the new LGPL'ed ones.   

So for the GNUPlot replacement development, all you need to do is 

        > echo "deb http://mirror.phy.bnl.gov/debian-root root unstable" >> /etc/apt/sources.list
        > apt-get update 
        > apt-get install libroot-dev libreadline-dev root-plugin-asimage bison flex
        
and then start hacking away :-)
