I suppose the Debian Scheme Team could develop a team policy with guidance -- but given the Go Team's difficulty to agree on policy updates, I wonder if per-team packaging policies is a good idea in the first place. The only hard policy is Debian Policy, and I'm not sure the Debian Scheme Team will be helped a lot by demanding something further. There is DEP14 but it is not that rigid (debian/sid vs debian/latest, upstream/* etc). I have to say that I do prefer the idea of bare debian/ repositories, but I never got that to work fluently in my own workflow, mostly because of tool issues that expects unpacked source code is stored in git. Maybe what would be sufficient is a Debian wiki page with known Guile-specific debian packaging tricks. There are workarounds that many Guile packages have in common (dh_dwz, override_dh_makeshlibs, dh_shlibdeps --exclude=.go, etc) that could use some documentation. /Simon
