So this will actually work with the recent changes that stopped forcing DASD naming onto users to set the device online. All disk devices listed in /etc/sysconfig/hardware will now be enabled. I have a small fear that people clone a lot on s390 and hence have duplicate UUIDs, but certainly not post-install at this point. I applied and pushed the patch. Thanks! Kind regards Philipp Kern
