zipl fail
I have made a 'cross install' from Conectiva Linux to
Debian kernel-image-2.4.17-s390 ( hardware: s/390 G3,
no z-serie, no VM ).
The installation process was fine, but the ipl process
failed.
What's the magic to make zipl work ?
- The zipl line command was:
# zipl -p /boot/parmfile -t /boot/zip
- My /boot/parmfile was:
root=/dev/dasda1 ro noinitrd dasd=101
- zipl generated the following zipl.conf in /etc:
[defaultboot]
default=debian
[debian]
target=/boot
image=/vmlinuz
parmfile=/boot/parmfile
