Re: Suggestion: Add a RFS bot to the IRC Channel

I actually don't support this in the Rust team specifically. Usually it is useful, but the sheer amount of RFS requests we sometimes have can be really overwhelming for the topic. I speak from personal experience because there was a time with myself having over 50 active. And another one is that, we already have a script to list all RFS requests. And with how we are supposed to work in debcargo-conf repo, a simple 'find src/ -name RFS' can actually list all packages that currently request an RFS. Sure, the requests in the irc topic hanging over your face might prompt you to take care of it, but I don't think it adds much benefit for us.

Hi Team,

I'm also in the Debian Python team and in our python irc channel, we have a RFS bot that edits the channel topic and adds rfs to the rfs queue in the topic when someone types "!rfs packagename" and can be removed from the queue after sponsorship by using the same command.

I suppose the Rust team would also benefit from something like this since we generally don't use RFS for our packages and it helps keep a track of what packages still need sponsors.
