Since debconf collides with exams unfortunately I also can't be there.

that's said, but maybe those who are there should still meet at
least informally for fun and mapping nicks to faces?

I would just suggest the 15th of August @1800 UTC then.

I do appreciate setting a time and date so far in advance!
just for people living in Europe thats Friday evening at 20:00, and frankly
said I sometimes have a life and do not recommend scheduling volunteer
work events then... how about Monday, August 11th at 18 UTC?
Or Tuesday?

I do appreciate the general consideration,
but this could quickly devolve into an "everyone is inconvenient" situation.

I live in east Asia, where 1800 UTC translates to 0200/0300 +1d local time.
Can I ask the time be changed to 1200 UTC so I can sleep earlier?

Let's be realistic and acknowledge everyone "has a life".

If some of us could make the sacrifice,
so that a single time point is possible,
great! And thanks to them.

If some of us are willing to make the sacrifice some of the times,
also great!
The schedule could rotate.
Yes,

that's what I meant to imply by my inital mail. The date/time I posted was mearly a suggestion to be changed; personally, I am fine with 1200 UTC, too.

This would still work for the American East coast too (I think).

best,
