VmWare установлена на висте, при запуске команды
Xorg -configure в стабильном дебиане, установленном на виртуалке,
генерируется конфиг файл xorg.conf следующего содержания:

При старте иксов появляется серый квадрат и затем обратно выходит в консоль...
p.s. и непонятно также почему само разрешение экрана такое, что работая в командной строке не вся часть экрана задействована под виртуалкой, получается квадрат в квадрате-т.е. по
периметру есть чёрные пустые области экрана...
