Но при попытке записи на ATA:0,1,0 cdrecord ругается.

В общем, cdrecord и видит устройство, и пишет на него --- на ATA:1,1,0
(см. письмо ниже по треду).
Таки проблема в k3b: под root он видит мой CD-RW как "Устройство
записи", а под user --- только лишь как "Устройство чтения" (в
"Параметрах" k3b). Хех...
