SMP



Hi, All!

Стоит у меня potato на Compaq Proliant 2500 2xPPro200.
Раньше с SMP не жил он принципиально более недели, падал с OOPS. Еще
со slink-ом, с ядрами от 2.0.х до 2.2.x просто, ac aa ветками
тоже. Собирал я ядро без SMP и спокойно жил. Но проапгрэйдился до потато
и сервер просле недели работы упал. Причем ощущение возникает такое, что падает он,
в момент, когда начинает активно лазить в своп. Также практически всегда
непосредственно перед падением активизируется работа с inn (нагрузки нет
практически - начинает крутиться что-нибудь вроде get-news совместно с тоссингом фидо).
Возможно это как раз и приводит к активной работе со свапом. Может что посоветуете?
Стоит ли попробовать еще и 2.4? На compaq.com есть форум по поддержке линукса,
но там в основном проблемы связаны с необходимостью добавлять mem=???M.
Впрочем там были заявления вроде "у меня работают X cpl2500 c 2xPPro -
все просто здорово". Из неродного железа у меня стоит ne2k-pci, простая мультипортовка
на 4 порта, SkyStar1 и SkyMedia200D (последние два адаптера - DVB крточки для
приема данных со спутника). Вот некоторая информация:
