Re: poweroff
I normally change "-r" flag in /etc/inittab for shutdown by CtrlAltDel to "-h"
which means halt+poweroff instead of reboot. Kernel is 2.4.6 with both APM and
ACPI enabled (kernel finds itself which one to use).
