слово Debian появилось от  имен его первого создателя и жены (Ian & Debra).

I found mention of your company while browsing on the internet and I would be very interested to find the origin of your company name. My Christian name is Debian, a name that I have had for over forty years. A name that I have never come across before. If you have any information that you could give me I would be very grateful.
