There was a similar error message with gitlab which was fixed by updating libjs-coffeescript. It could be an issue with sprockets as diaspora-installer works, which uses sprockets 2.12.4

I was able to reproduce the error in two systems. ruby-execjs, ruby-uglifier use same version as diaspora-installer. NodeJS is unlikely the cause.
