Dear Ruby list, My message has been triggered by Bug#714777, saying that two packages are conflicting because they both install /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/generators/rails/templates/controller.rb (ruby-jbuilder and ruby-strong-parameters). Three packages install generators for rails in /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/generators/rails. Others use /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/rails/generators/. Since I am not very much familiar with Rails, I was wondering: * does it need to be unified? If yes, with which convention? * what would be the best approach to deal with these conflicts. The * files mentionned in the bug are similar but have significant differences... Thanks in advance for your advice. Cédric
