Hello everyone, During the DebConf13 Ruby BoF, there was quite some enthusiasm about the idea of holding monthly IRC team meetings, and I volunteered to organize them. So I started by creating a wiki page to describe my initial ideas about it, at https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/Ruby/IRCMeetings The main part of the current contents is included below for your convenience. It's not super elaborated, in fact it is very simple: ----------------8<----------------8<----------------8<----------------- = Monthly Ruby team IRC meetings = * '''Goals''': * review status current team-wide actions * identify volunteers for unassigned actions * discuss relevant issues for the team * '''Where''': #debian-ruby-meeting at irc.debian.org * '''Method''': * agenda will be sent in advance to the mailing list (debian-ruby@l.d.o) * meeting must not last more than 1 hour (the shorter the better) * notes from the meeting will be posted to the mailing list == Initial planning == Finding a time slot: please fill in your IRC nick, timezone and any notes (e.g. whether you would prefer the meeting to take place on weekdays or on weekends etc). || '''who''' || '''TZ''' || '''notes''' || || || || || ----------------8<----------------8<----------------8<----------------- Please feel free to comment on the above. The next step will be figuring out a good time slot for doing the meetings, so I ask everyone interested in participating to fill in the table at that wiki page with IRC nickname, your timezone, and maybe some info about preferences of weekdays vs weekends, or to indicate preferred times (in UTC please). In a few weeks I will collect the info you fill in there and make an initial proposal for a time slot for our meeting. -- Antonio Terceiro <terceiro@debian.org>
