Re: [DRE-maint] RFS: ruby-hiera 0.3.0-1, ruby-hiera-puppet 0.3.0-1
Alright,
ruby-hiera (1.0.0~rc3-1) and ruby-hiera-puppet (1.0.0~rc1-1) are in the
repo now. Both work like a charm (switching from/to 1.8/1.9.1 and back)
.. [even on squeeze :>]
.. so mika - get going, we even still might make it for wheezy! ;-P
PS: the ignoring of the 1.9.1 tests in case of ruby-hiera-puppet is on
purpose. This is because one of the recently added tests requires
'puppet', yet puppet itself strictly depends on 1.8.
Once puppet itself is using alternatives and 1.9.1 we can turn it back on.

Hi,
that was a fast one tho .. the 'problem' is the new YAML parser (Psych
vs Syck) - while Syck was accepting the default YAML shipped by hiera,
Psych was not .. at least now 'hiera' itself seems to work flawlessly
on 1.9.1
Gonna take a look into hiera-puppet tomorrow .. seems as if this will
have a good outcome shortly! ;-)
+ I will inform upstream about this

Patrick
