Re: [IMPORTANT] future of pkg-ruby-extras

Hi,

Yes you are right, I am co-maintainer of those packages, Here are the reason why i haven't took any action.

1) libxml had one file missing from upstream tar ball, after sending couple of mails to upstream author, I haven't received any reply from him till now, i would like upstream to understand this situation and update the tar ball or could have respond the mail so that i can make the patch and update to the system.

2) libcompass, I was busy with my official schedule and primary maintainer was agreed to remove it.

Rest of my packages are bug free and couple of them i had taken release team permission and asked them to accept it. For ex , libaddressable-ruby, libdataobjects-ruby. I have couple of ITPs , So will be in full swing after release :) .

Thanks.
I'm a bit surprised, though, because libxml-parser-ruby was NMUed
recently, and libcompass-ruby was removed from squeeze.
